This article is to give some general information about ATLP products produced by Heeltoe, with regard to warranty coverage.
At this time, no official warranty guidelines are published for ATLP Exhaust parts as a policy. Some items or failures we can repair at no cost to you, some we can repair for a fee. Other repairs are not shared-expense repairs.
Generally, if there is no evidence of scraping against the ground or damage from a collision is present, we will repair:
- Cracks or breaks in the piping, flex joints, resonators, mufflers, or tips.
- Leaks caused by failed welds, muffler bodies, or flex pipes.
- Deformation of internal components of flex joints, resonators, or mufflers.
- Broken hanger brackets or ATLP-provided rubber hangers (not including original hangers from the vehicle).
Generally, we will not repair:
- Damage where evidence of low ground clearance issues, such as scraping, dents, or tearing on the bottom.
- Corrosion, rust. An exception may be made for flex pipes which may show corrosion but may have broken internally.
Fitment concerns fall under the category of a product defect, which is covered for the initial installation of the product on a vehicle and needs to be reported within 90 days for coverage.
Coverage rules are generally as follows (NOTE: All time frames are from the date of delivery of the product, not the date of installation):
- If the issue is found within 90 days of delivery of the product, Heeltoe shall cover 100% of return, repair, and re-ship costs.
- If the issue is found after 90 days but within 1 year of delivery of the product, Heeltoe shall cover repair and re-ship costs. The customer will be liable for return shipping costs, for which Heeltoe can provide a shipping label and bill the customer.
- If the issue is found after 1 year but within 5 years of delivery of the product, Heeltoe shall cover repair expenses. The customer is responsible for return and re-shipping expenses, for which Heeltoe can provide shipping labels and bill the customer.
- If the issue is found after 5 years of delivery of the product, Heeltoe can repair the part at the customer's expense, which is normally generally nominal. The customer is responsible for return and re-shipping expenses, for which Heeltoe can provide shipping labels and bill the customer.
Note on replacements: The only cases in which a replacement part can be provided are when the product cannot be repaired. Replacement is a rare situation, and the coverage on one will generally follow the shipping timeframe guidelines above.
