When coilover locking collars won't move or are stuck; can't adjust height

"Coilover" damper kits are adjustable for height but sometimes the collars get stuck or seized....

After you make sure that you are turning the collars in the correct directions:

• Use a long wrench or pipe on the supplied spanner wrench to get more leverage.
• Hammer the spanners to knock them loose.
• Be careful with heat. A torch can be useful to loosen seized hardware, but these are parts with sensitive internals that are under gas pressure. Head the collars, not the damper body.
• As a last resort, you can cut stock collars off and get replacements. Actually, get the replacements first then cut them off.
